We are pleased to launch our new website, which is aimed at helping residents of the local borough to access the help and the support they need in the best and most useful way. For many, the easiest way to tackle the problems they face is simply by checking their rights and responsibilities using our national website, Citizens Advice (helpful links to key information are provided). Resources include template letters, information about other useful organisations and how and where to get the information that is needed to deal with everyday legal problems.
For help with some online forms (such as applying for a Blue Badge) and assistance in accessing information, we run a drop-in hub service on three mornings a week, staffed predominantly by our well-trained and committed volunteers. We are also pleased to be lead partner in the provision of Lewisham Advice Line, a free telephone service offering a single point of access to all Lewisham residents who need information, advice or casework in order to resolve their issues.
We hope that you will get the help you need from our service, whether this is online, by ‘phone or face-to-face. Whilst some of the help you get may be from a paid member of staff, you are likely to find that it is a dedicated volunteer who has helped you when you access our service. For information about exciting volunteering opportunities with Citizens Advice Lewisham, please see our Volunteer page.
We look forward to helping you, or giving you the opportunity to help us and all those who who rely on our service in the borough of Lewisham.
